I am an Assistant Director of Admissions for a small private college in Raleigh, NC. I have been in this field for over ten years. I have been blessed with a loving family of which my pride and joy is my nine year old daughter Chyna DiaMonique Ferrell.
As I counsel high school students, find that very few are being adequately counseled and/or advised. I hope to use my degree in higher education. I however am aware, that these are my plans, but God as the final say. I love to work with children of all ages. I love to learn with them and have been blessed to learn from them. I am constantly finding myself in situations to motivate our children in the church. I am amazed at the things I learn when I just sit back, listen, and let them talk to me. Children should be talked to and not talked at.
Following the completion of my master's degree, God willing, I will press on to pursue my doctorate. I would like to start a christian based organization geared toward academic advising and , social and professional development
I have been blessed over and over, even when I not desereve it. I am a woman after God's own heart, and my favorite biblical passage is Psalms 151. Though I cannot carry a tune in a bucket, I love to sing a song derived from that scripture (My Help, Cometh From te Lord-Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir).
As the first in my family to recieve a degree, I have been blessed to come this far, and I know that I will be blessed in this class. I look forward to learning some valuable information and meeting new people this week to prayerfully inherit friendships that will last a lifetime.
